A Little Dormant

So soon didn't happen as soon as I thought it would.  I've been working on getting my riding journal blog up and running.  I plan on having it ready for the public by the end of July.  In the meantime this blog will probably get neglected and lay dormant.  I'm not sure I will be able to keep up with two blogs.  I'll be back with a link to the new one once it's ready.

Abandoned? No, Just Life.

It's been ages.  The break was needed for my own physical and mental health.  I realized this winter that I really needed some hide from the world time.  So I did.

I posted on Instagram when I felt like it but mostly I let myself do what I needed to, to take care of myself.  One os those things was not stressing myself out about blogging.

Taking the time away has been good for me and I'm feeling like I can think about posting again.  It also allowed me time to think about the blog and what I want to write about, it's felt a bit of a mess.  My conclusion is that this will be a general life blog and I plan on starting a new on where I write about Gemma's and my journey.  No time frame for anything at the moment.

Hope you all are well and I will post again soon.

I was very sore after the ride Gemma gave me but two days later I went out to work her anyway.

Listen To Your Gut

The fall time was a bit difficult for me.  I had a horse, I had arenas, and trails for riding but I couldn't ride and I really wanted to! Fall is great trail riding here in the Midwest. However, I didn't like how my soft saddle fit on Gemma.  It wiggled from side to side a wee bit, not a very secure feeling on the back of an 800lb animal that has a mind of her own.

Looking Back or Ramble...

2017 was overall an odd rollercoaster of a year.  It started off with my finishing up oil painting and the hope of adopting Gemma and ended with my being sick for three weeks and Gemma and I starting to develop an amazing connection.

Settling In

It wasn't until the second week in November that I started getting the sense from Gemma that she was really feeling settled in at her new barn.

A Horse MMO!

A couple of weeks ago while I was browsing the pre-register games on Google Play, I found one called Star Stable Run.  After reading the description I also learned that there's an MMO too, Star Stable Online  (SSO).  It didn't take me long to decide to give SSO a try since it was free to p lay up to level five (you could continue playing after reaching that level but you can't advance your character any further).  With not being able to level further you also do not get access to all of the content.  There's a bonus for making a new account though, you get three free days of being a Star Ride (a.k.a. subscriber).
