Listen To Your Gut

The fall time was a bit difficult for me.  I had a horse, I had arenas, and trails for riding but I couldn't ride and I really wanted to! Fall is great trail riding here in the Midwest. However, I didn't like how my soft saddle fit on Gemma.  It wiggled from side to side a wee bit, not a very secure feeling on the back of an 800lb animal that has a mind of her own.

Looking Back or Ramble...

2017 was overall an odd rollercoaster of a year.  It started off with my finishing up oil painting and the hope of adopting Gemma and ended with my being sick for three weeks and Gemma and I starting to develop an amazing connection.

Settling In

It wasn't until the second week in November that I started getting the sense from Gemma that she was really feeling settled in at her new barn.

A Horse MMO!

A couple of weeks ago while I was browsing the pre-register games on Google Play, I found one called Star Stable Run.  After reading the description I also learned that there's an MMO too, Star Stable Online  (SSO).  It didn't take me long to decide to give SSO a try since it was free to p lay up to level five (you could continue playing after reaching that level but you can't advance your character any further).  With not being able to level further you also do not get access to all of the content.  There's a bonus for making a new account though, you get three free days of being a Star Ride (a.k.a. subscriber).

Seven Photos of Cocoa

There's a thing going around Facebook and Instagram where you post seven photos of your life with no explanation and you tag someone each day in hopes they will do it too.  This gave me an idea to take it in a bit of a different direction.  On ocassion I will be posting seven photos of something or someone with no explanation about each photo.  Just look and enjoy.

Moving Gemma Take Two

September 30th saw me moving Gemma again.  Things aren't always as they seem.  I made the decision a week and a half before I moved her.  I'm very glad that I did and also thankfully found a barn that I really liked.  It's also ten miles closer and has much better movement options for her.

Drawing Diary for October

October saw a bit more time and energy for creative pursuits and with it being Inktober I decided to participate as I had time.  Now if you follow me on Instagram you have already seen all of these.  Please excuse my lack of being able to word/write well, I am still fighting a cold and am not feeling what is my normal.
